About the Event
Cost: 275 per team - 10 Teams
Instructors:
Nick Hodgen: Nick has been a Police Officer for 14 years and a K9 handler for 10 years. He is currently a Patrol Sgt. and K9 Handler in a small NH department, working his 2nd dual purpose dog who he trained on his own, outside of the traditional ‘K9 academy’.
Nick is Trainer and the primary training decoy to a NH/MA regional training group of about 15-20 K9 teams. He has dedicated an immense amount of time and effort, specializing in Police decoy and apprehension work for the last 8 years. He has decoyed and instructed at multiple Police, sport and SAR dog workshops, seminars and trainings.
Rebecca Carr: Rebecca is the owner and head trainer of Peace of Mind Canine in Concord, NH and has several years of experience with pet and working dog teams, focusing on relationship building, behavior modification and foundational obedience for home and sport and police
Schedule:
Day 1
0830-1030 assessment back tie
1030-1300 outside passive long line drills
1300-1700 building work
Day 2
0830-1230 felony stops and extraction
1230-1730 foot pursuit from vehicle stops
Coffee and donuts will be served in the morning. Please bring lunch.
